Bandera Library Happenings

By Paul A. Phelan
Bandera Kronkosky Public Library Director

Howdy to all!
We are pleased to announce the first ever winter reading program at the Bandera Kronkosky Public Library. The theme for this year is, “How the Grinch found the joy of reading - celebrate the joy of reading and watch your heart grow!”
Join in on the fun beginning Monday, Dec. 2, and pick up your winter reading program bingo card. Complete the card by reading books and earn a reward. Children can find the hidden grinch daily for prizes. Watch the Grinch's heart grow, with each book read.
Join us on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m., for a special Christmas-themed storytime.
Also, adults make sure and sign up for the Holiday Murder Mystery, Dec. 6, from 6 - 7 p.m. Activities will be provided for the little ones and holiday refreshments will be provided.
Stop by on Monday, Dec. 9, pick up a Grab & Go Craft, and make a straw weaving bookmark. On Thursday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m., we will have another special holiday themed storytime.
Ever tried yoga? Now’s your chance. The library will host a Snowga program on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 2:15 p.m. All ages and abilities are invited.
Thursday, Dec. 19, will be our final holiday themed storytime.
The winter reading program wrap up party will be Saturday, Dec. 28, the Whobilation!  Join us for a live jazz performance by the Boerne Concert Band and make sure to sign-up for the chili cook-off.
Until next time, happy reading!
