The Bandera Prophet
The City of Bandera has welcomed Christmas with all the festivity and cheer of a holiday movie. Bandera City Park, transformed into a winter wonderland, hosted the community with music from the Bandera High School Jazz Band and singer Jennifer D’Spain, and a magical visit from Santa Claus.
Organizers of the event included Allyson Wright, Lynn Palmer, Denise Griffin, Brett and Brittany Hicks, Josie Evans, Melinda Byrd, Stan Farmer, and Terry Wells and his team. The Christmas tree lighting countdown was led by Roger and Charlie Byrd.
The lights will remain lit throughout the holiday season.
~ The Bandera Christmas celebration will continue on Saturday, Dec. 14, with the Cowboy Christmas Shopper’s Jubilee and the second annual Night Christmas Parade. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Bandera’s Main Street and 11th Street stores will be open for daytime and nighttime holiday shopping and strolling. At 6 p.m., the lighted parade will begin on Main Street.
More details and a parade application is available at www.banderabusiness.com.
