8th Grade A Team
The 8th Grade A Team faced one of their toughest challenges this season in a thrilling game that tested their resilience and teamwork, winning 21-13. We were met with a different defense and we adjusted during the game, and gained our confidence. During our halftime talk we talked about locking in on defense to stop the points from the paint, we adjusted our press and we were able to get multiple steals that led to 2 points. This game was more than just a win—it was a testament to Banderas' grit and unity under pressure. They showed that through hard work and determination, even the toughest challenges can be overcome. Next Monday our girls will travel to Devine to take on the Fillies.
Stats for the game: Points Blu Rollo: 7 (including a 3 pointer) Rehnahta Gomez: 6 Madison Arriola: 4 Brooke Montelongo: 3 Sabrina Verhey: 1 Rebounds Brooke Montelongo: 9 Blu Rollo: 4 Aubrey Freeman: 2 Madison Arriola: 2 Gabrielle Colony: 2 Sabrina Verhey: 2 Alivia Pack: 1Steals Brooke Montelongo: 5 Aubrey Freeman: 2 Rehnahta Gomez: 2 Blu Rollo: 1 Madison Arriola: 1 Gracen Spruell: 1 Sabrina Verhey: 1

8th Grade B Team
The Lady Bulldog 8th grade B basketball team lost to Uvalde 9 to 16.  The young ladies battled hard to overcome a 4 to 8 first quarter deficit, but struggled to score points when they had opportunities. Jazmine Rhodes, Emma McClintock, and Brylee Phillips helped prevent 2nd chance scoring opportunities for Uvalde. Kamilla Vasquez had 2 steals.  Brylee Phillips led the Lady Dogs in scoring with 4 points. This loss brings the 8th grade B team's record to 2 wins and 1 loss.

7th Grade A Team
The Bandera Lady Bulldogs had a nail-biting home opener against Uvalde in a tough back and forth battle. Late in the fourth quarter the Lady Dogs came out on top with a score of 17-16. Even though Uvalde brought a high half-court press, the Lady Bulldogs showed their willingness to never give up and fought to the last second. They are now 2-1 on the season and look forward to a big Devine game next Monday to end the semester strong.
Stat Leaders: Brenna Bryd- 9 points, 4 steals, 3 rebounds and 1 block, Harper Hicks- 4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks.
