Ruby Miller
September 27, 1936 ~ December 20, 2024

Ruby Miller, 88, of Pipe Creek, passed away Dec. 20, 2024, at her home.
Born Sept. 27, 1936, in Denver, Colo., Ruby was the daughter of Carlyle and Ruby Burn. She married Robert Allen Miller Sr. in May 1967, in Bexar County, Texas.
Ruby received her Master's in Library Science from Texas Women's University in Denton. She enjoyed a distinguished career at Trinity University, where she retired after 33 years as Professor Emeritus of the Library. She was widely respected in her field and published numerous Library Science articles focusing on Technical Services. A dedicated Lakehills United Methodist Church member, Ruby's contributions to her profession and community were immeasurable.
Ruby is survived by her children: Robert A. Miller Jr., Mike T. Miller, Linda J. Miller, and Dawn M. Miller; nine grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Bob Burn and Danny Burn; and her sister Sylvia Coatney.
There will be a service to celebrate Ruby's life on Friday, Dec. 27, at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel. The doors will open at 9 a.m. The service will be held at 10 a.m., with Pastor Everett McCarley officiating. A celebration of life will be held in January, with details to follow.
Donations may be made to Hill Country Daily Bread in Boerne instead of flowers. To donate call 830-755-5200.
