Medina performing well in District Play

Medina basketball is off to a great start in district play. The Lady Cats are currently in second place with a 4-1 district record, and the Bobcats are in a tie for the lead at this point with a 3-0 record.
The Lady Cats defeated Rocksprings and Leakey over the Christmas break by scores of 37-36 and 36-23 to aid in their district standings. The Bobcats began their district schedule over the break by defeating Rocksprings, Leakey and Nueces Canyon.
In other basketball action, Medina attended the annual Concho Basketball Tournament held in Menard and Eden on Dec. 27 and 28. The Lady Cats defeated Bronte and Robert Lee in tournament play while the Bobcats defeated Eden.
The Medina teams will host Utopia on Friday, Jan. 10, with games beginning at 4 p.m.
