JH Lady Cats earn runner-up honors

Congrats to the Junior High Lady Cats on their second place finish at the annual Nueces Canyon Junior High Tournament, held on Saturday, Jan. 18. The Lady Cats defeated Hunt 17-9, to advance to the championship game.
In other basketball news, the Varsity Lady Cats continue to stay in playoff contention. The Lady Cats defeated both Comstock and Knippa the week of Jan. 13-17, to increase their district record to 6-2. The Varsity Bobcats are sitting just out of playoff standings, but looking to bounce back as they begin the second half of district play this week.
