Bandera Middle School 7th and 8th grade A teams defeat Uvalde​

8th Grade A Team
The 8th grade A basketball team beat Uvalde 32 to 24. Blue Rollo led the team with 7 steals while Brooke Montelongo and Gabby Coloney led the team in rebounds. The game was close, but the Lady Dogs finally pulled away behind strong shooting from Rehnahta Gomez. The A team will end their season next Thursday when they face off against Devine at home.  

8th Grade B Team
The 8th grade B basketball team lost to Uvalde 12 to 23. Jazmine Rhodes and Emma McClintock led the Lady Dogs in rebounds, and Kamilla Vasquez led the team in steals. Makayla Clay was the leading scorer. This brings their overall record to 3 wins and 4 losses. 

7th Grade A-Team: 
The 7th Grade A-Team improved their record to 4-3 after an impressive win against Uvalde with the score of 25-18. The Lady Dogs had a stellar performance on offense and defense over a tough Uvalde squad, and look forward to capitalizing another win against Devine on Thursday. Stat Leaders: Brenna Bryd- 2 points, 4 steals, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Harper Hicks- 12 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Harper Hartsfield- 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 7 steals. June Flowers- 2 points and 1 block. Colbie LaLanne- 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assists and 3 steals. Karina Young- 1 assist and 2 steals. Hailee Feller- 1 rebound. Vannessa Gonzales- 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assists and 3 steals. Olivia Lane- 5 points and 1 steal. Cataleya Valles- 1 steal. Sydney Bowman- 3 rebounds. 

7th Grade B-Team:
The 7th grade B-Team lost a heartbreaker to Uvalde by one point, 19-18 in the final minute. They look forward to bouncing back and closing the season with a win against Devine, Thursday! Stat Leaders: Emma Spofford-  1 rebound and 1 steal. Aspen Collazo- 7 points, 4 rebounds, 9 steals and 1 block. Kaycee Putney- 6 points, 1 steal and 5 rebounds. Hayley Capps- 2 points, 1 assist, 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Avery Dehart- 2 points, 1 steal and 2 rebounds.Mika Gray- 1 rebound and 1 steal. Natalie Hauer- 1 steal. Emily Short- 1 point, 2 steals and 1 block. They now have a record of 3 and 4.
