The Bandera Prophet
The Book Sale is Saturday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The next Book Sale will be Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the library meeting room.
The Pre-School Story Time is every Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The Yarn Club is for those who crochet, knit, embroider or other hand craft. They meet every Friday, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the library meeting room.
The Christian Classic Literary Book Club meets every first and third Friday, March 7 and 21, 10 to 11:30 a.m. to discuss “The Screwtape Letters” by C. S. Lewis. For more information, call Linda Williams at 830-688-0560.
The Benefits Enrollment Center, brought by Silver Sage, will be available Wednesday, March 12, 10 a.m. to Noon, to provide application assistance for those over 65 or disabled.
The Board meeting is Wednesday, March 12, at 4:30 p.m. The public is welcome.
The Garden Club will meet Saturday, March 15, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The program is free and open to the public. They will hold a Plant Adoption Event, to purchase home grown plants to fill your garden.

A “Mosaic with Sherry Hearn” class is coming on Saturday, March 22, which has limited space. The cost is $40 per person. Contact Sherry Hearn at 210-355-6318 for information or call the library to register.
The Evening Book Club will meet Tuesday, March 25, at 5:30 p.m., to discuss “How to Age Disgracefully” by Clare Pooley.
The Funeral Consumer Alliance will host a presentation on Saturday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to noon, in the meeting room. They are a 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer organization, whose goal is to educate the public on end-of-life planning. They are dedicated to serving consumers in how to purchase affordable funerals. This event is free and all are welcome.
Barbara Shepherd is our new Artist of the Month and she will exhibit her works through March. Much of her work is available for purchase and the library welcomes the public to view her offerings.
The library announces their annual fundraiser is coming up on Saturday, May 3, from 4 - 7:30 p.m. That is Kentucky Derby Day and everyone is invited to purchase tickets at $50 each and encouraged to wear bow ties and fancy hats, while they enjoy refreshments, Mint Juleps and watching the horses run. Tickets are available now at the library. More details will come.
The library hosts other events and offers many services, such as faxing, copying, laminating, notary, scanning, free Wifi, DVDs, and interlibrary loans. They also offer ebooks, audio books, and large print books. They offer Genealogy, with access to Ancestry.com.
