Free Food Distribution set for Thursday
Alamo RC&D’s Senior Assistance Program will hold their next free Food Distribution on Thursday, March 13, from noon to 1:30 p.m., at The Way Church, located at 7789 FM 1283.
First come, first served and supplies are limited. Each applicant must pick up their own, if board permission is not provided.
The next big event is the Pot Luck Lunch & Learn, which will be held Wednesday, March 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The presentation will be “Healthy Hearts.”
Applicants must be 55-plus and reside in Bandera County. A 2025 registration is required and applicants can register at the door or on the website.
Alamo RCD seeks monetary donations for the purchase of food and serves 10 counties in central Texas. Donors can help on the website, alamorcd.org; or by mailing a check to the address on the website. Please earmark your donations for the Senior Assistance Program. The organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit and all donations are tax deductible.
