Alamo RC&D Senior Assistance Program looking for new location after church is sold

Alamo RC&D’s Senior Assistance Program announces that the church where food pantries and all of their Senior Program activities have been held, has been sold, and the buyer has asked that the Alamo RC&D organization find another place.
Alamo RC&D is in the process of moving to another location in Lakehills and plans to restart the Senior Program in June.
In the meantime, they ask that those needing food to go to the Silver Sage distributions. The next one is April 28, in Lake Medina Shores, by the pool, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Also, people needing food should go to the Silver Sage food distributions through the month of May. That information can be found on Facebook.
Alamo RC&D states that they are not leaving and they are not abandoning the Senior Program. They are simply moving to a new local location. They will send out more information as it becomes available.
Alamo RCD seeks monetary donations for the purchase of food and serves 10 counties in central Texas. Donors can help on the website, alamorcd.org; or by mailing a check to the address on the website. Please earmark your donations for the Senior Assistance Program. The organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit and all donations are tax deductible.
