It’s Date Night at the museum!

This Friday, celebrate Fiesta with Bandera style. On May 2, the Bandera Natural History and Art Museum will host its much-anticipated Date Night fundraiser, a celebration of art, music, food and culture.
In addition to a catered dinner featuring an open taco/nacho bar and cocktails, guests will be treated to a live performance by renowned local artist Jennifer D’Spain, who will sing a Latin blend of original songs and popular covers, including Selena.
An American Idol finalist, D’Spain has performed at many venues, including Madison Square Garden, Austin City Limits, and the White House lawn, where she sang the National Anthem. She is also the first female Songstress and Storyteller in the history of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, 136th Edition.
An evening with purpose, proceeds from Date Night benefit the museum, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
To prepare for the special event, the museum will close at 3 p.m., and reopen at 5:30 p.m.; the concert begins at 6 p.m. Ticket prices are $50 per individual, or $80 per couple. They may be purchased online at www.banderamuseum.org, or call 830-328-5090. Seating is limited, and reservations are highly recommended before tickets sell out.
The Bandera Natural History and Art Museum is at 267 Old San Antonio Hwy., Bandera. Regular hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
