Arkey Blue’s Silver Dollar Highway dedicated in downtown Bandera

On its 57th anniversary, Arkey Blue’s Silver Dollar Saloon today was recognized with the dedication of Arkey Blue’s Silver Dollar Highway. Located at the corner of Main and Cedar Streets, the designation is officially recognized by the Office of the Governor.
Nominated by Charlie Robison almost 20 years ago, the Silver Dollar, owned by singer/songwriter Arkey Juenke, was voted one of the best Honky Tonks in Texas by Country Music Television. Today’s celebration was attended by representatives of the City of Bandera, the Bandera County Chamber of Commerce, the Bandera County Convention and Visitors Bureau, friends and family.
