Grace Noah’s Ark Learning Center achieves statewide recognition
Grace Noah’s Ark Learning Center and staff have achieved statewide recognition as a Texas Healthy Building Blocks Recognized early childhood education program in the area of Child Nutrition.
Texas Healthy Building Blocks is designed to support and recognize early childhood education programs working to adopt evidence-based obesity prevention practices to improve the health of young children aged 0-5 years. With the support of technical assistance and access to an online suite of tools, the program has been working diligently to assess the current practices and policies of their program, so they can set goals, take action to improve, and learn more to provide the most quality care for the children they serve.
Achieving Texas Healthy Building Blocks Recognition means Grace Noah’s Ark Learning Center uses nationally recommended health standards and has implemented best practices and policies to make sure they are offering a healthy learning environment for young children in the community. You may notice the incorporation of new activities for children and families, training for staff and volunteers, and improvements to the learning environment.
Texas Healthy Building Blocks (THBB) is a statewide program funded by Texas Department of State Health Services and administered by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Efforts like these are leading the way in promoting healthy habits and educational opportunities for our young children to thrive.
