Though preparations were made just in case, the rain held off yesterday evening long enough to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of National Travel and Tourism Week.
Hosted by the Bandera County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the reception was catered by the Bandera High School Culinary Department. More than 50 door prizes donated by local businesses were awarded to lucky guests in between live music performances.
National Travel and Tourism Week is recognized annually May 4-10 across the country, and highlights the vital role travel and tourism play in economic growth, sharing local cultures and enhancing the quality of life. Proclamations were issued by Bandera County commissioners and City Council members acknowledging the week.
