City of Bandera Treasurer Allyson Wright recently completed an eight-month program for New and Emerging Finance Directors, held by the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
“We believe it will be individuals like Allyson who will help keep our region and state at the forefront of municipal leaders. It will also be progressive employers like City of Bandera that continue to support ongoing training and development in our industry,” North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) Executive Director Mike Eastland said.
This program served as the ninth season of developing current and future leaders in the public finance industry. Thirty people were selected to participate. Over the past eight months, Wright attended at least six of the eight sessions to learn various aspects of the industry and take deep dives into critical issues of her job and responsibilities as a public finance official. The classes were day-long events, presented by experts in the field and facilitated by experienced professionals. Successful completion of the NEFD program required active participation in session discussions and homework assignments.
