Alamo RC&D Senior Assistance Program resumes at the Lighthouse Church

Alamo RC&D’s Senior Assistance Program announces that the deal has been done and they are now able to resume several of their activities and events at their new location, the Lighthouse Church, located at 10771 PR 37, in Lakehills.
They will host the Food Pantry on Thursday, June 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This will include the Branches of Hope Distribution.
The Senior Social Event, with the theme of “Celebrating Seniors,” will be held on Tuesday, June 17, also from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The Senior Potluck Lunch & Learn will be Tuesday, June 24, again from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The topic will be “Safety Savvy Online,” about online security and safety for seniors.
All events are free for area seniors age 55-plus, and will be held at the Lighthouse Church. Each senior must have completed the 2025 registration, either online or at the door. An RSVP is required for each event beforehand, by text or email.
Alamo RCD seeks monetary donations for the purchase of food and fans for the summer heat; serving 10 counties in central Texas. Donors can help on the website, alamorcd.org; or by mailing a check to the address on the website. Please earmark your donations for the Senior Assistance Program. The organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit and all donations are tax deductible.
