A retirement and a loss for Bandera

The Bandera Prophet
A happy-yet-sad gathering was held at the Frontier Times Museum, on June 18, in honor of Avelinda Winslow, who has begun her retirement.
Known for her cheery welcomes and happy smile, Avelinda made approximately 52,500 visitors to the museum feel truly special over the course of her nine years at the museum.
She has been a perfect ambassador for both the Frontier Times Museum and Bandera. While the staff, volunteers, board members and community members are deeply saddened to see Avelinda go, they are grateful for the kindness she has spread in Bandera and wish her the very best in her retirement.
