“The day that the rains came down”

The Bandera Prophet
The Hill Country experienced major flooding. I had intended to report on the American Legion Parade and Barbeque in Lakehills. However, the parade was canceled, along with the Pet Parade in Bandera.
Kerrville had a disaster, Comfort was evacuated, and there was debris on the roads in Medina.
We managed to go to the American Legion Post 410 Hall in Lakehills. We wanted to show our support knowing the guys over there had barbecued the chicken and sausage for many hours; and the Auxiliary worked hard producing the many delicious desserts. So we bought two meals and two desserts. Both were excellent and the meal was well attended.
Musical entertainment was provided by Wade Lowery, in the gazebo.
For more information, stop by the Legion at 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills or by calling 830-612-1034 or by emailing [email protected]. They are open to the public Fridays through Wednesdays, from 3 to 8+ p.m. They can also be followed on Facebook at American Legion Post 410.
