Bobcats have excellent performance in home opener

By Lindsey Kunz
Medina ISD Superintendent/Athletic Director

On Friday, Sept. 5, the Bobcats hosted Bulverde’s Bracken Christian Academy in their home opener of the 2025 season. Medina looked to get some revenge in the contest due to Bracken getting the win in their 2024 matchup, and revenge they did obtain.
Coming off of a big win from the week before, the Bobcats kept that same momentum going scoring touchdown after touchdown in the first quarter. When the buzzer sounded to end the quarter the Bobcats were eyeing an early night with a goal to end the game at halftime by mercy rule.
The second quarter proved just as successful as the first with the Bobcats meeting their objective. At halftime, the officials called the game with the final score of Bobcats 66, Bracken 12.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 12. The Junior High Bobcats will take the field first at 5 p.m., with the high school game set for 7 p.m.
