Bandera meeting of the League of Women
Voters - Hill Country Texas
The League of Women Voters of the Hill Country Texas has scheduled a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 9 a.m., at The Hen's Nest. Breakfast will be "Dutch treat.” Individuals interested in the League are welcome to attend. The Hill Country League has members in Bandera County and actively distributes voter guides for every election at libraries and other locations in the county.
This meeting will focus on the upcoming elections for Bandera County: 17 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution, Bandera ISD School Board
Place 7 (three candidates), and Bandera City Council (seven candidates).
The discussion will include working on a plan to "Get Out the Vote" and distribution of League voter guides in early October.
The last day to register to vote in the election on Tuesday, Nov. 4, is Monday, Oct. 6. A citizen who is already registered to vote can update their voter registration online at votetexas.gov. This means changing an address or a name. Texas does not allow a citizen to register to vote online. The state website, votetexas.gov, does provide a form to register to vote. A citizen can print and complete the form, and mail or take the completed form to the Bandera County Election Department.
