The Medina Lady Cat volleyball team honored their Seniors on Tuesday, Oct. 7, before their district match with Knippa. Senior players Audrey Gatlin and Kailey McCabe were honored, along with Senior Manager Amelia Flores. Following the festivities, the Lady Cats won a hard fought 5-set battle against district rival Knippa. The set scores were 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-9.
“We battled that’s for sure,” Head Coach Chyna Phillips said. “Everyone put in a lot of good work to hold on to the victory.”
In football action, the Bobcats traveled to Campwood on Friday, Oct. 10, for their first district contest of the 2025 season against the Panthers of Nueces Canyon High School. A kickoff return for a touchdown in the first play after half earned the Bobcats the points that they needed to complete the game by mercy rule. Final score: Bobcats 56, Nueces Canyon 8.
