Bandera XC competes in district meet at Bandera City Park

On Thursday, Oct. 9, the Bandera Cross Country teams competed in their District meet here in Bandera at City Park. The Varsity girls finished 4th as a team with 89 points. Seniors Taytum Moeller medaled placing 13th running a 12:25 while Lori King placed 16th with a 12:51. Despite running their best times ever on this course, they still fell a little short on qualifying out.

The Junior Varsity girls dominated their race placing 1st overall as a team with 22 points. Junior Merry Robison (13:38) led most of the race, until freshman Cassi Williams (13:30) worked her way up to pass Robinson in the last 200 meters finishing 1st and 2nd. Freshman Veronica Ibarra medaled placing 4th in a 13:45, while Sophomores Emma Rynarzewski (14:02) and Addison Ashcraft (14:04) finished 7th and 8th respectively.

The Boys Varsity team finished 5th overall, Led by Zach Goodin who had a personal best and placed 3rd individually with a time of 17:07. Luciano Martinez beat his best time for the 3rd week in a row and placed 13th overall with a time of 18:32. Ayden Sarver and Aiden McClintock both had their best races of the season finishing with 18:51 and 20:41. Other Varsity Finishers were Tristan Wilson 20:49, Michael Ramirez 20:54, and Walter Roque 21:09.
The JV boys and Senior division ran hard to finish out some of their last races as high schoolers.
