The Pioneer 4-H Club recently welcomed special guest speaker George Onyango, who shared his powerful personal story as a former recipient of an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. His testimony served as a moving reminder of how a simple gift can bring hope, joy and even transformation to a child in need.
Onyango spoke about his childhood experiences and how receiving a shoebox filled with small gifts and essentials made a lasting impact on his life. His story deeply resonated with the 4-H members, encouraging them to continue serving others with compassion and purpose.
In response to Onyango’s message, the Pioneer 4-H Club will be packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child at their November meeting. All are welcome to participate. As Onyango’s story illustrates, sending a box can make a life-changing difference—and even save a life.
