Pet Parade Results

The 29th annual Pet Parade results are as follows:

Best of Show:
Cooper, Reese, Rusty and Eddie, shown by the Rainey Family of Pipe Creek. Rusty and Eddie were adopted from shelters in Houston; Brody was adopted from a shelter in Mississippi. This was Reese’s first parade.

Most Creative:
Echo, Lucy, Sully and Neo, shown by Greg and Amanda White of Floresville. Sully is a foster, Echo is a therapy dog, adopted from Wilson County Shelter, National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue.

Special Recognition Award:
Dorothy Walker is one of our oldest and dearest participants. She has shown her stuffed giraffe, as well as her metal porcupine. She is the biggest kid at heart.

Star-Spangled:
Willow and Aries, shown by Karen Cole of Dripping Springs. Both adopted from Lizzy’s Animal Hospice Rescue.

Look-A-Like:
First Place: Cooper, Penny, Reese, Rusty and Eddy, shown by the Rainey Family of Pipe Creek.
Second Place: Riley, shown by Jalen Garcia of Bandera.
Third Place: Boogie, show by Makena Popovich of Bandera.

Most Talented:
First Place: MoonPie and Aggie, shown by Jeannie Beauxbeannes of Bandera.
Second Place: Aries, shown by Karen Cole.
Third Place: Geraldine, shown by Joyce Hayes of Drippnig Springs.

Most Original Pet:
First Place: Daisy, shown by Dawn Patterson of Dripping Springs. Adopted from Gods Dog Rescue in San Antonio.
Second Place: Lucille, shown by Richard Hayes of Dripping Springs.
Third Place: Pete the Metal Porcupine, shown by Dorothy Walker of Bandera.

Favorite Storybook Character:
Winnie, shown by Anaka and Jon Doran of Bandera.

The event was sponsored by the Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League. Volunteers and donors included the judges, Pipe Creek Barrel House & Feed Store, Joyce who made the doggie gift baskets, Lowes Market, the Hill Country State Natural Area Junior Rangers, and the announcers Lori and Sally Gibson.
