Lakehills Library in November

The Lakehills Area Library has a new fundraising event coming in December. We are having a Goldrush! Bandera Jewelers Master Jeweler Jordan Marcum will be at the library on Monday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will be available at Bandera Jewelers on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 9 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to appraise and purchase unwanted gold and silver jewelry, serving pieces, coins, and other broken or unwanted gold and silver. If sellers would like to, they can donate a portion of their profits to the Lakehills Library to support its programs and services. Bandera Jewelers will donate half of their profits from both Monday and Tuesday to the library. Join us to support the library and earn some extra cash!
The library monthly book sale will be on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are books for sale inside the library during regular business hours, but on the first Saturday book sale, the book barn is open.
The Christian Book Club will be meeting on Monday, Dec. 15, 10-11:30 a.m.
Due to the popularity of Preschool Storytime, we now have it available on two days each week, Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., and Thursdays at 1 p.m. In December, on the 3rd and 4th, we will have Stuffed Animal Story Time, so bring your favorite stuffed friend! On the 10th and 11th, we will make heating pads as a gift for someone we love, and on the 17th and 18th, we'll be making clay ornaments.
Yarn club is every Friday, at 12:30-2 p.m., so if you like to crochet, knit, embroidery or do any other handcraft or need some help learning, join us for crafting and social time.
