Bandera Lady Bulldogs basketball notch seventh win

By Coach Zach Cihal
Bandera ISD Athletics

The Bandera Lady Bulldogs basketball team notched their seventh win of the season Tuesday night with a 44-29 victory over the Pearsall Lady Longhorns.
After a slow start left them down by one at the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs ratcheted up their defensive intensity and took a 23-15 lead into halftime. In the second half, Bandera maintained control of the game, applying relentless defensive pressure and dominating down low. By the final buzzer, the Bulldogs had outscored Pearsall 38-6 in the paint while recording 36 steals, led by senior Taytum Moeller with nine. Senior Brooklyn Grabs led the Bulldogs in scoring with 11 points, while senior Maddie Davis contributed 10 points and 6 rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs JV squad also came out on top, defeating the Pearsall JV 26-17. Sophomore Briley Clark led the Bulldogs with 10 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 7 steals, while sophomore Ellie Voss recorded 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 steals.
Bandera is now 7-3 on the season heading into this weekend’s tournament in Llano.
