Bandera Powerlifting opens season with strong showing in Carrizo Springs

By Coach Colton Perkins
Bandera High School Athletics

The Bandera High School Powerlifting team officially kicked off their season this past weekend, delivering a powerhouse performance at their inaugural meet in Carrizo Springs. The Bulldogs displayed a blend of technical precision and grit, signaling a promising trajectory for the 2026 season.
The boys' division was highlighted by a dominant performance from Logan Harman, who secured 1st place in the Super Heavyweight (SHW) class with a massive 1,530 lbs. total. Joining him on the podium was Luke Greebon, who earned a 2nd place finish in the 220 lbs. class with a strong 805 lbs. total.
The Lady Bulldogs were equally impressive, led by Ruby Lister, who claimed 1st place in the 198 lbs. class with an 800 lbs. total. Other notable finishes included Anna Delgado, who took 2nd place in the 242 lbs class (685 lbs. total), and Eva Le, who secured 3rd place in the 105 lbs class (460 lbs. total).
Beyond the medalists, the depth of the Bandera roster was on full display, with numerous athletes earning 4th and 5th-place finishes to bolster the team’s overall standing.
"I am incredibly proud of how our athletes represented BHS," said the coaching staff. "They competed with confidence and intensity, showing the direct results of their hard work in the weight room. This meet set a fantastic tone, and we are excited to see this momentum carry forward."
The Bulldogs will continue their season as they prepare for their next competition, looking to build on this early success.
