CALL FOR APPLICANTS - The Economic Development Corporation (EDC)
The City of Bandera requests your consideration for participation in an important aspect of city government with a call for applicants to serve on boards and commissions. The members of our boards and commissions are residents who volunteer their time, experience and knowledge. We invite you to review the summaries of responsibilities. There will be 4 seats that the term ends on 3/30/2026.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Economic Development Corporation
The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is composed of seven (7) Directors, all of whom are appointed by the City Council for two-year terms. The EDC is charged with the responsibility of promoting economic development and advising City Council with regard to incentives as they relate to the City’s development within the commercial and industrial districts. All policy efforts of the EDC are designed to help strengthen and diversify the local economy.
The EDC meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at Bandera City Hall, 511 Main Street, Bandera, Texas.
Applications are available on the website at www.banderatx.gov or a hard copy can be picked up at City Hall. Completed applications can be returned to the City Secretary’s office.
