Bandera celebrates First Responders with special luncheon and official proclamation
Community members, public safety personnel, and local leaders gathered Sunday afternoon to honor the men and women who serve Bandera County as first responders. The appreciation luncheon, hosted by Gail Stone Realty / Keller Williams Bandera, took place from noon to 2 p.m., at The Longhorn at Outback Texas.
The event welcomed first responders and their families from across the county, with representatives from all 17 Bandera County emergency service entities in attendance. The gathering served as a heartfelt opportunity for the community to express gratitude for the dedication, courage, and sacrifice demonstrated daily by those who protect and serve.
During the event, Keller Williams agent Tim Tobin presented a special proclamation from Bandera Mayor Denise Griffin, officially declaring March 8 as First Responders Day in Bandera. The Proclamation was presented to Bandera County Emergency Management, recognizing the invaluable contributions of the county’s emergency personnel.
Guests enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship, music, and great food. A delicious enchilada dinner was prepared by Sue Espinoza, while live music was provided by local performers Paul Hilliard and Karen Haile. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in door prize drawings throughout the luncheon.
The atmosphere was one of appreciation and camaraderie as first responders, their families, and community supporters shared stories, laughter, and gratitude.
“We were honored to host this special event for the incredible men and women who serve Bandera County,” representatives of Gail Stone Realty / Keller Williams Bandera said. “Their commitment to keeping our community safe deserves recognition, and it was a privilege to celebrate them.”
The luncheon was well attended and warmly received, highlighting the strong bond between Bandera County residents and their first responders. Keller Williams agents expressed how meaningful it was to help organize and host the event, noting that the afternoon reflected the spirit of community that makes Bandera such a special place.
