Lady Bulldogs capture district title; 4x400m Relay smashes 20-year-old school record

The Bandera High School Lady Bulldog track and field program reached a historic milestone this week at the District meet, capped off by a record-breaking performance in the final event of the night.
An Historic 4x400m Finish
In a display of "true grit and determination," the Lady Bulldog 4x400m relay team not only clinched the District Championship but also etched their names into the history books. The team, comprised of juniors Merry Robinson, Milesia Casas, Sydney Moore, and freshman Cassi Williams, clocked a blistering 3:56.95.
This performance officially broke the 20-year-old school record of 3:57.84, which had stood since 2006. The previous record was held by the legendary quartet of Sarah May, Dani McCandless, Katie Miller and Chrystal Ruiz.
Championship Pedigree
The victory in the 4x400m served as the exclamation point on a highly successful District meet for the Lady Bulldogs. Coaching staff praised the relay team for their composure under pressure, noting that the combination of veteran junior leadership and freshman speed proved to be a winning formula.
Looking Ahead
Following their District title and record-breaking run, the Lady Bulldogs will advance to the Area meet as top seeds. The program looks to carry this historic momentum deeper into the postseason.
