BEC Foundation Members Choice Contest nominations open now
The BEC Foundation Members Choice Contest nominations are active now. BEC members may nominate a non-profit organization of their choice for a chance to win $5,000.
Bandera County has many deserving non-profit organizations, and one that stands out is Don’t Make Waste Bandera, an all-volunteer group that manages recycling in Bandera County, and assists residents with road and yard clean up efforts. Don’t Make Waste Bandera is a Silver Star Award partner with Keep Texas Beautiful. To date, 145 tons of recyclables have stayed out of the landfill.
Nominations will remain open through Friday, April 24. After the nomination phase, the top five organizations will be presented to teh membership for voting on Monday, May 4. The winner will be announced June 1.
