Medina ISD proudly celebrates 18 teachers who earned designations through the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. Through approved local designation systems, districts are able to identify and recognize outstanding teachers based on student growth and classroom performance.
These designations also generate additional funding that allows districts to reward and retain top-performing educators. This year, Medina ISD received approximately $315,000 through teacher designations.
Teachers receiving the Master Teacher designation are Laura Beauchamp, Neita Ashley, Nicky Gilliland, Jean Smith, Jerri Benner, Megan Derry, Laura Davis, Sherri Kelly and Dawn Woodard.
Teachers earning the Exemplary Teacher designation are Greg Harbour, Deandra Ramirez, Barbara Beltran, Mark Coley and Nancy Jones.
Teachers recognized with the Recognized Teacher designation are Laura Heiderich, Joey Harlow, Cody Peterson and Chad Coffey.
