Bandera High School graduate enters U.S. Marine Corps
Bandera High School Graduate Daniel Mifsud will begin U.S. Marine Corps boot camp on Monday, July 27, at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, in California. After boot camp, he will begin The Crucible, a 54-hour event where recruits march nearly 48 miles on minimal sleep and food, pushing recruits to apply the teamwork, endurance and skills they’ve developed throughout their training. It marks the culmination of the journey to becoming a Marine.
Mifsud, the son of Tiffany and Vinny Mifsud, was the Bandera High School JROTC commander, graduating in 2026 one year early, and will have earned the rank of E2 when he completes boot camp.
