League of Women Voters - Hill Country to meet in Bandera
The League of Women Voters of the Hill Country Texas has scheduled a meeting on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 9 a.m. Breakfast will be Dutch treat.
The meeting is open to the public and visitors are welcome to attend.
Bandera County will have local elections in the General Election on
Nov. 3. The filing deadline for local, non-county offices is Monday, August. 17, at 5 p.m. Positions are open in the following local government offices:
Bandera ISD School Board - Place 1 and 2;
Medina ISD School Board - Place 1, 4 and 5;
Utopia ISD School Board - 4 places at large;
City of Bandera - Mayor; Bandera City Council - 2 places at large;
Bandera County River Authority & Groundwater District - Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4 and Member-at-Large;
Flying L Public Utility District - 2 places.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan and non-profit civic organization encouraging active participation in government and does not support or oppose candidates for elected office.
The Hill Country Texas League serves six counties: Bandera, Blanco, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr and Llano.
