The cattle are coming. On Saturday, Sept. 5, the annual Bandera Round-Up Longhorn Cattle Drive and Parade will proceed down Main Street. The parade begins at 11 a.m.
Before and after the parade, enjoy shopping and snacking on the Bandera County courthouse lawn during Round-Up Market Days. Beginning at 9 a.m., indulge in free biscuits and gravy at Kelly Scott’s chuckwagon cowboy breakfast, have fun on the cowboy playground for kids, and browse the vendor market.
When the sun goes down, head over to the Mansfield Park arena on Saturday, Sept. 5 and Sunday, Sept. 6, for the Men’s and Women’s Labor Day Weekend Ranch Rodeo. Men’s events on Saturday will include steer tying, calf branding, trailer loading/sorting, the rescue race and ranch broncs. Women’s events on Sunday will include steer tying, calf branding, trailer loading/sorting, the Pony Express and hide race, with kids mutton bustin’ both nights (sign ups 5:30-6:30 p.m., cost is $30).
Gates open at 5:30 p.m., rodeos begin at 7 p.m.
Buy tickets online ($15 adults, $8 kids 6-12 and military with valid ID) at https://www.banderaprorodeo.org.
