What’s happening at the Bandera Library

Starting Sept. 2, at 10:30 a.m. (for eight weeks), we will have a technology skills class at the library. Participants will focus on using their phones; set up, security, video chat, etc. We are limiting it to 10 people.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, on Sept. 11, at 6 p.m., we will have an art exhibition opening for Chicano artist Adan Hernandez. Hernandez, who passed away in 2021, will be honored for his impact in the Chicano culture. His son James Hernandez (former Chamber of Commerce president) will be the art exhibit curator and speaker of the event. People interested will need to call the library and get on the guest list.
On Oct. 24, at the Longhorn Saloon, we will hold our second annual fundraising gala - The Book Wrangler's Ball.
Regular events at the Bandera Kronkosky Public Library include:
Monday - Watercolor class at 10 a.m..; Books & Blooms Garden Club each second Monday at 10:30 a.m.; Bandera Pokémon League at 4:30 p.m. (email [email protected])
Wednesday - Country Music Group at 10 a.m. (except the second Wednesday of the month); Mahjong Club at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday - Monthly Book Club the first Thursday at 10 a.m..; Children's Story Time Thursdays at 10:30 a.m
Friday - Girls Who Code at 5 p.m.; Young Readers Club at 2 p.m.; Fiber Art Group each second and fourth Friday at 2 p.m.
Saturday - Dungeons & Dragons from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The library is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The WiFi password is Bandera! (password is case sensitive)
