Appraisal Review Board Members
Applications for the 2024 Bandera Appraisal Review Board Members are now being accepted. Duties include hearing & resolving property tax protests on appraisal issues, exemption denials, and special appraisals. It is a full-time commitment so interested individuals must be available Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every week from May through October. Must be a Bandera County resident for at least the past 2 years. Cannot be an employee or an officer of a taxing unit served by the appraisal district or a current employee of the Comptroller of Public Accounts. Applicant or spouse cannot have a current contract with a taxing unit. Applicant must not be related within the second degree by blood or marriage to a paid tax agent or person engaged in appraising property for tax purposes; and must not hold a public office. Members are paid a daily per diem. Applications are available online at www.bancad.org under “Organization” then “ARB or by calling (830) 796-3039.
