Dominant effort leads Bulldogs to emphatic win over HondoAfter consecutive weeks of heartbreaking finishes, the Bandera football team bounced back emphatically with a resounding 38-6 win over rival Hondo Friday night at Bulldog Stadium. The Bandera JV football team picked up its second straight win over Hondo, enduring a low-scoring defensive slugfest to pick up a 9-6 victory on the road Thursday night.

Growing Up In BanderaHenry Lloyd Kalka's Sinclair Service Station of earlier Bandera days has been transformed into Tripp's Tire, where Cody Tripp and his crew still serve up the same friendly service we were accustomed to in those earlier times. Henry Lloyd's "Hey cowboy" greeting was usually served up with a piece of bubble gum for any kid passing through. It was the closest place to get free air for my bicycle tires when I was hanging around Granddaddy Kindla's house.

Bandera volleyball turns focus to district playThe Bandera volleyball team embraced a tough challenge on the road Friday night, taking on Class 6A San Antonio Marshall through three competitive sets while ultimately falling 20-25, 17-25, 18-25. Bandera is set to open district play on the road against Davenport on Thursday night.

Bandera building hope in HondurasRecently a team of workers, led by Bandera’s own Kenny O’Bannon, traveled to Tegucigalpa, Honduras for a very special project. This team of workers included members with a variety of skills and talents from basic labor to all areas of construction expertise. They came from Phoenix, Ariz. and Denver, Colo., as well as our own hometown, to live out the motto of Building Hope International of “Helping others who are helping others!”
