Bandera Middle School Basketball ReportThe Lady Bulldogs took the long road trip to Uvalde last week where they went 0-3-1 on the night. The girls will host Carrizo Springs here this week. The Bulldogs hosted Uvalde and went 3-1. All four teams will head to Carrizo Springs later this week.

Bulldog Soccer ReportOn Tuesday, Jan. 17, the Bandera Bulldogs took the field to play 5A, John F. Kennedy High School from Edgewood ISD. The JV has a full set of games scheduled for next week that includes sister school to JFK, Memorial High School on Tuesday. They will play Davenport in the district opener on Friday. Both games are away. Next Saturday, the JV will play Samuel Clemens JV Gold at home. On Friday, the Varsity team will travel to Hondo and will play their last non-district match vs Memorial, in San Antonio, on Tuesday. District play will begin next Friday.

Matthew Jeffery, a Bandera County resident, is a multiple medalist in the Move United Junior Nationals and the current national record holder in his age group for the 4x25m individual medley.
Jeffery, aka “the Torpedo”, swam for the Texas Parasport team in Denver earlier this year and competing in the under 14 S8 division, swam seven individual events and one team relay over two days. |
Bandera baseball team finish as finalists in end-of-season championshipThe Hill Country-Bandera select baseball team brought home the bling after battling through five games over two days in the end-of-season tournament of the National Championship Sports Baseball CenTex Elite Fall League.

Medina makes historyMedina Bobcat football earned the district’s first football playoff win in school history after defeating Chester on Friday. Very cold temperatures and muddy field conditions did not deter the Bobcats from meeting their goal of solidifying themselves into the record books. The win moves the Bobcats to 11-0 on the season.

Medina Sports ReportThe Lady Cat varsity volleyball played their second matchup of the season for Leakey and Medina with the first contest ending in the Lady Cats favor in a tiebreaker by a score of 19-17.
Both Medina Varsity Girls and Boys cross country advanced to the Regional Cross-Country Meet in Corpus Christi on Tuesday, Oct. 25 by earning District Runner-Up honors. |
Bandera takes one gold and three silvers at Bandera City ParkBandera hosted the Steve Golemon Memorial Invitational meet at Bandera City Park. The event, named after the former coach, that led Bandera's Lady Bulldogs to four state championships, was well attended by teams from as far away as Brackett, Uvalde and La Vernia.
Bandera won one team gold and three team silvers in the varsity and JV divisions with quite a few top 20 finishers. |

Local youth impress at Bulldog Football Camp
The 2022 edition of Bandera Football Camp saw approximately 85 participants from Kindergarten through incoming ninth graders register for the three day event held at Bandera High School’s practice field.
