Beginning Wednesday, May 22, the San Antonio Food Bank will deliver to the Silver Sage. Deliveries will be made every Wednesday throughout the summer. Volunteers will arrive at approximately 8 a.m.; anyone using a wheelchair or walker may go through the line starting at 9 am.; senior citizens will be admitted through at 9:30 a.m.; and the line will be open to the general public at 10 a.m. The times are subject to tweaking, depending on when the deliveries are made. Applications must be completed annually, and income guidelines (see below) must be met in order to qualify. Those collecting are asked to wait inside until the truck is fully unloaded and the food is completely unpacked.
