Big sprints at Little Olympics

The Bandera Prophet

Bandera ISD's fifth-grade students from both the Hill Country and Alkek Elementary campuses convened to celebrate the end of the 2018-19 school year, and come together for the first time as a middle school unit.
Since they began their school careers, the children have been separated between the two locations, according to where they reside. In addition to concluding their last few days as elementary school students, Friday's track and field event symbolized their union as they coalesce at the district's only middle school campus.
The kids participated in a 400-meter dash, a 200-meter dash, an 80-meter dash, hurdling and long jump. First, second and third-place ribbons were given to the top three finishers in each event.
The last day of school is Wednesday, June 5.
