Authorities continue search for man missing in Medina Lake

Texas game wardens are still searching for a man who went missing last weekend while boating in Medina Lake. The recovery effort has lasted for nearly a full week, with no good news to report.
“We’ve had boats, drones, cameras and dogs out looking,” Captain Jeff Carter told the Prophet. “I wish I had something better to tell you.”
Zenozio “Sandy” Calderon, 56, fell out of a boat around Elm Cove near Tiki Island at about 2 a.m. Sunday morning, July 28. Calderon, of Crystal City, was one of four passengers aboard.
Despite rumors that divers located Calderon’s body, Carter said no divers have been on scene because rescue workers have been unable to isolate an area where Calderon may be.
“We’ll continue to be out searching every day,” Carter said.
Calderon’s daughter told the Prophet that her father did not like the water, and was in the boat because his friends asked him to join them.
“If anyone in surrounding areas can help, please try to find my father,” she said. “The game warden is helping and we cannot find him. We need prayers and help.
