Logan Dybowski finished second for the Bulldog varsity.
Elexis Pearson (43) and Corinne McMullan (41) at the finish of the Girls varsity 3200m.They finished third and fourth respectively for Bandera.
Sam Nimmrichter was the third varsity Bulldog to cross the finish line.
The closest finish of the day went to .001 of a second as Pearsall's Zaine Leal and Orlando Oltivero from Pleasanton literally fought it out for third place in the boys varsity race. Leal got third with Oltivero placing fourth.

Runners log more than 2,000 miles in City Park

More than 800 runners from all over South Texas converged on Bandera City Park last Saturday to run in the Bandera Bulldog Cross Country Invitational.
The varsity girls 3200 meter race opened the event with 101 entries and finished with the host Lady Bulldogs placing second to Pleasanton by a single point, 59 to 60.
The Lady Bulldogs were running without some of their top five, but the seven Bandera runners stepped up their game to help win that second place finish.
Raelynn Butler and Hannah Edwards led the way for Bandera, finishing second and fourth respectively.
Two other Lady Bulldogs finished in the top 25 with  Elexis Pearson and Corinne McMullan earning medalist honors, finishing in 22nd and 23rd with Kaitlin Doebbler in 26th to account for all of the points earners for Bandera.
Joy Gill from the San Antonio Home School Spartans won the class with a blazing time of 11:32.
Bandera's varsity boys finished fifth, missing fourth place by a single point, with two medalists, Ethan Brown and Logan Dybowski, finishing in 11th and 16th. Sam Nimmrichter finished 31st, Joshua Short, 40th and Bailey Cox was 44th to accumulate points for Bandera.
Brackett's Abraham Morales won the event with a time of 16:48.
The Lady Bulldog JV finished in fourth place with
Bietzel Gonzalez as Bandera's top finisher in sixth place, followed by Madison Gillaspie in 11th.
The three other Lady Bulldog points earners were top 25 finishers with Mallorie Powell in 13th, Ofelia Macias 22nd and Ashley Grodman in 24th place.
Utopia's Cherish Dunlop covered the field with a time of 12:52.
The JV Bulldogs won team bronze thanks to three top 20 runners in Braden Cox, Juan Reyna and Cody Jureczki.
Christian Rattler took top honors for JV Boys with an 18:52.
