PIPE CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The P. C. Presbyterians held a Market Day on Saturday, Oct. 19 on the church grounds. The huge crowds were able to shop many vendors, inside and out, enjoy the food, purchase raffle tickets for the beautiful quilt, and watch the chili cooks as they prepared their dishes.
Eleven chili cooks came to prove their mettle in the Chili Cook-off:
First place Chili was won by Doyle Smith of San Antonio with his “Spitfire Chili.”
Second place Chili went to Bob Lisherness of New Braunfels with his “Possum Belly Chili.”
Third place Chili was awarded to Tim LaLanne of Pipe Creek with his “RV Blues Chili.”
The lovely lap quilt was won by Melanie Rollins.
