BEC Foundation launches new contest to award up to $10,000
More nonprofit organizations within the Bandera Electric Cooperative service territory now have an opportunity to be recognized and receive much-needed funds through the BEC Foundation’s Members Choice Contest. BEC members can nominate an organization making a positive impact in the community through Nov. 15.
The BEC Foundation board will select three of the nominated organizations based on its charitable giving guidelines and predetermined criteria. The three organizations will be announced in December, and members will then vote for the winning nonprofit organization via email. The winning organization will receive a grant up to $10,000.
“It is our goal that this contest will help expand our network of nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life for our members and to better serve the community as a whole,” said BEC Foundation Chairman Shawna Frerich.
The BEC Foundation commonly supports organizations through charitable contributions with a focus on health initiatives, education and youth programs, social services projects, and community services projects.
