LAKEHILLS AREA LIBRARY
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Precinct 203 residents vote at the library from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please remember to vote “Yes” to proposed Constitutional Amendment #4, to permanently ban a state income tax in this wonderful state we call home.
The library is holding their annual Holiday Market Day on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors are needed for local arts, crafts, gifts, food items and more. Call the library at 830-510-2777 to reserve you space now.
The library will host a special Book Sale Saturday, Nov. 9, where they offer special prices and some two-for offers. The book barn will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Jerry Jilek, local professional photographer, is exhibiting many of his works during November. They are available for purchase and part of the price will benefit the library.
The Genealogy group will meet Thursday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to Noon. Explore family history with a group of experienced genealogists. Bring your own laptop or use one provided by the library. There is free access to ancestry.com.
Every Tuesday morning at 10:30 a Yoga class for all ages is available. Everyone should bring a mat and water.
Every Wednesday morning at 10:30 the library hosts story time for kiddos 2-5 years of age. It includes songs, games and crafts based in preschool curriculum.
All library programs are free and open to the public.
The library is located at 7200 FM 1283.

The Alamo Resource Conservation & Development’s next Food Pantry is Friday, Nov. 8 in the Faith Tabernacle Pantry Barn, from Noon to 3 p.m.
The next Sassy Granny Art Class is Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., in the Faith Tabernacle Pantry Barn.
The next Senior Social is Friday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Faith Tabernacle Fellowship Hall. The theme is “Thanksgiving Celebration.” There will be games and bingo with prizes, door prizes, and a celebration of November birthdays and anniversaries. It includes a free catered lunch for seniors and by donation for others. RSVP is requested by Nov. 13 by calling or texting 210-548-9248 or emailing alamorcd@gmail.com.

American Legion Post 410, 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills, it is open to the public Fridays through Wednesdays, from 3 p.m. They serve meals on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and provide entertainment for all ages. For information, call 830-751-3711.

On Monday, Nov. 4, our Medina Lake level was 1057.08 feet. That is down 7.12 feet, which is 83.9 per cent capacity.
The Medina River had a flow of 23 cfs in Bandera, running 3.72 feet deep at the gage.
