Bandera Youth Soccer Organization pays student food debts

Bandera Youth Soccer Organization (BYSO) is following a kid-centric charter to the greatest extreme possible. The youth sports league has gone beyond to truly be great stewards of their funds from registration fees and donations. Thanks to smart spending habits, fees for spring 2020 are already locked and the scholarship fund has ample money on hand.
Their stewardship efforts have allowed them to create a partnership with Bandera and Medina ISDs to wipe out $3,200 of student food debt. This will zero out the negative balances of all students K-12 in both districts. The league does not pick and choose debts, they simply clear the ledger as the holidays approach.
“We wish warm, full bellies for all kids working through their studies in coming months.”
Their entire board is comprised of combat veterans, first responders and immediate family members who understand the responsibility Americans have to invest in the next generation. Their hope is that upon seeing this, through efforts small or large, other organizations and members of the community will find ways to help our youth as well.
For those interested in BYSO - spring soccer registration begins Jan. 1. Go to www.banderayouthsoccer.org. The BYSO website answers all common questions related to the league and our season opportunities. Questions or comments can be directed to soccer@banderayouthsoccer.org.
