Anticipating Lakehills Library fundraiser

The library is gearing up for its annual Fundraiser Dinner and Auction to be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 5 p.m., in the Lakehills Civic Center. The doors will open at 4:30 p.m.
The live auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the silent auction will run from 5 - 6:30 p.m.
They are selling raffle tickets for two prizes: The first is a $500 Visa gift card; tickets are $5 each or six for $25. The second prize is a Howa Hogue Gameking Rifle/scope package in the caliber of your choice, donated by Boyle’s True Value in Bandera/Lakehills; tickets are $10 each or six for $50.
The library is also selling dinner tickets, at $10 a plate, for a delicious meal of Gerry’s Famous Chicken Spaghetti, complete with salad, breadstick and tea or coffee. Desserts, beer and wine are also available. Dinner will begin serving at 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Two amazing donations have just come in and details are being worked out now. They will make perfect Valentine’s gifts so check back next week for more information.
All the tickets can be purchased at the library, located at 7200 FM 1283.
ALAMO RC&D
The next Senior Food Pantry is Friday, Jan. 24, from noon to 3 p.m. It is first come, first served, with a two bag limit per family.
The next Sassy Granny Art class is Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. It includes Beginners Crochet, Part 2 and all materials are provided.
All Alamo RC&D events are held in Faith Tabernacle at 7789 FM 1283.
AMERICAN LEGION
The American Legion Post 410, 147 Legion Dr., Lakehills, Hall is open to the public Friday through Tuesday, from 3 p.m. On Tuesdays, hamburgers are served at 5 p.m. for $5; on Fridays, at 5 p.m., dinner plates are served for $8 and include entree, salad and dessert.
Darts, pool, TV and music are always available and Poker games are held Fridays at 7 p.m.

CIVIC CENTER
The Lakehills Civic Center, located at 11225 PR 37, offers several ongoing events.
Yoga classes take place every Monday and Friday at 8:30 a.m.
Walking Aerobics are every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
Quilters gather every Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The Prayer Blanket ladies meet every third Thursday of the month at 9 a.m.
Karate classes are available every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.

LAKE AND RIVER
On Monday, Jan. 20, Medina Lake is at 77.3 percent capacity. The lake level is 1053.98 feet, which is down 10.22 feet.
The Medina River has a flow of 30.6 cfs in Bandera, running 4.02 feet deep at the gage.
