Interim chief appraiser hired

The Bandera Central Appraisal District Board of Directors on Friday hired consultant Richard Petree to serve as the county’s interim chief appraiser.
The board reviewed applicants for the position last week, narrowing the list down to four candidates: Beverly Castleberry, Kenton Shaw, Mike Kidd and Shawn Davis. Yesterday, that list decreased to two, both of whom are expected to be re-interviewed in a special meeting.
Chief Appraiser Wendy Grams submitted her letter of resignation last month. Her last day will be Friday, March 13.
