CHURCHES
Pipe Creek Presbyterian, Western Heritage Cowboy, Lakehills Baptist, Lakehills United Methodist, have canceled all church activities at the church buildings, including Sunday morning services. Each will provide live streaming of their Sunday services on Facebook instead.
In addition, Pipe Creek Community Church will not hold activities, including Sunday service, until after April 3. St. Stanislaus and St. Victor’s have canceled all Masses until further notice. Faith Tabernacle has canceled all events, including Sunday services, until further notice.
Each of these churches will post updates on Facebook.
LAKEHILLS METHODISTS
The Lakehills United Methodist Church, 150 Ave. J in Lakehills, announced that there will be no TWIGS until school resumes.
However, they offer their WIFi freely to students who need that service for online learning. Students need to call to arrange a time.
They also have some food pantry items for those who need them.
The Wesley Nurse, Aida Minnick, will not see patients and will only work from home.

The Christian School will honor the Governor’s Executive Order and be closed until April 6. They will post updates on Facebook.
The school, 1990 FM 1283, is enrolling now for the 2020-2021 school year. The classes include Pre-K through grade 12.

HILL COUNTRY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The school will be closed until April 6.
However, the school, 6346 FM 1283, will provide school breakfasts, 8-9 a.m., and lunches, 11 a.m.-noon, in the parent pick-up line, Monday through Friday. The meals will be delivered to your vehicle and offered to those who are under 18 years old.
MEDINA LAKE FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Fire Department has canceled their annual barbecue, scheduled for April 25.
They are selling raffle tickets for seven very nice items: a rifle, a camera, two VISA gift cards, a porch rocker, a 32-inch television, and a kayak. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Tickets may be purchased at the fire station, 10660 PR 37 in Lakehills, or call Sandy at 830-688-1366. Drawing is April 25 and the winners will pick up their items at the station.

The Fire Department has canceled Friday night Bingo until further notice.
LAKEHILLS CIVIC CENTER
The Center has canceled all activities until further notice. This includes the Nagel Clinic satellite. All patients must go to the Clinic in Bandera for their appointments.
AMERICAN LEGION
The Lakehills Legion has canceled the Chili Cook-Off and Classic Car Show, which was to take place on April 4. They hope to reschedule later.
The Legion Hall is closed until further notice. All meetings and events are canceled.
NEW LIFE RESALE
The thrift store, 1990 FM 1283, is closed for business until further notice. They are short staffed and can accept donations only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They will sell items on eBay and Poshmark. Their proceeds support the Christian School. Call 830-510-3050 for more information.
LAKE AND RIVER
On March 21, Medina Lake is at 73.5 per cent capacity. The lake level is 1052.09 feet, which is down 12.11 feet.
The Medina River has a flow of 33.6 cfs in Bandera, running 3.85 feet deep at the gage.
